The Mount Pleasant City Compost site is open Wednesdays from 1 pm to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm. The site is located behind Saunders Park at the intersection of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive.

The Mount Pleasant Children’s Discovery Center is open fro 4:30 to 6:30 pm.  The Center’s entrance is on the east side of the Mount Pleasant Public Library Civic Center on East Monroe Street.

The Henry County Historic Preservation Commission is planning to meet Wednesday May 17 at 1:00 PM at the courthouse 2nd floor conference room.  The main topic of discussion will be the Commission’s progress on their new book on the cemeteries of Henry County.  The public is invited to attend.
