Experience Bentonsport as it was in the 1850s at Bentonsport Heritage Day. Historic homes, building and garden tour, historic characters, wagon rides, children’s games, live music, entertainers, shops’ gift basket drawing, pre-1840s mountain men camp in riverside park. Bentonsport’s shops will be open and special vendors will sell their wares. Enjoy the food trucks and the pie stand. Visit the vintage portrait studio and have your photo taken in 1850s-era clothing.

The Mount Pleasant city compost site is open Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm and Wednesdays from 1 to 6 pm thru the summer.

The Mount Pleasant Children’s Discovery Center is open from 10 am to noon.  The Center is located on the east side of the Mount Pleasant Public Library Civic Center.

The Dover Museum, chapel and depot on Main Street New London is open Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 pm thru October.

The Henry County Heritage Museum at 403 W. Monroe in Mount Pleasant is open on Saturdays from 1-4 pm.

VFW post 7641 in new London will have our annual liver and onions night this Sat June 24 from 5-7 pm. If liver’s not your favorite delicious baked chicken is an alternate choice .Dinners are served with mashed potatoes corn and roll for $7.00.
