The Mount Pleasant City Compost site is open Wednesdays from 1 pm to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm. The site is located behind Saunders Park at the intersection of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive.

The Henry County Historic Preservation Commission meets at 1 pm at the Henry County courthouse. The public is invited to attend.

Henry County Public Health has three more opportunities this week to receive required immunizations before school begins. Walk-in clinic runs today from 1-4 p.m., and a later clinic tomorrow from 1-6 p.m. For any questions call 319-385-0779.

The Mount Pleasant Farmer’s Market is in McMillan Park under Wright Pavilion from 4-6 pm. The Henry County Cattlemen will be grilling. Saturday’s market will be at 1200 West Washington Street in Mount Pleasant from 8:30-11 a.m.
