Stride into Summer Family Walk at East Lake Park in Mount Pleasant! This is a free event and wills tart by the tennis courts. Visit fun, family friendly activity stations as you walk a loop through the park. A wagon or stroller is recommended. This will take place from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Examples of activities include a fingerprint/kids ID kit from Sheriff’s Office, summer safety info, kids games, giveaways, healthy snack, and even a firetruck and ambulance! The Winfield Historical Society presents “The Importance of Quilts and Textiles During the Civil War” with author and historian Becky Wright.  Becky will dress in period costume for the presentation, have artifacts and many items on display.  Becky is a master quilter and will also have books she has written for sale.  This event begins at 2:00pm at the Veterans Building in Winfield, Iowa.
