A Memorial Day Observation Program is planned at the MPCHS Gym starting at 10:30am.  The Honor Guard will fire a 3-volley salute after the names of Henry County Veterans who are being added to the Henry County Memorial are read. Members of the VFW, American Legion Posts, and Auxiliaries will present colors.  The MP High School Band will perform and a group of MP Middle School Students will perform a presentation of the Gettysburg Address and Battle Hymn of the Republic.

The Swedish American Museum, 107 James Avenue in Swedesburg, is hosting a Memorial Day Service at 10:00am.  This event is in observance of Memorial Day and is free and open to the public.

The Moose Lodge in Mt. Pleasant is holding a Memorial Day Fish Fry from 5-7pm. For $15, enjoy all you can eat, plus baked beans, coleslaw, and potato salad. There will be drink specials as well. The public is invited to attend this fish fry at the Moose Lodge, 108 N Saunders Ave.
