The Henry County Health Center Diabetes Education Department is holding the CGM Support Group from 2:00p – 3:00p in Suite 25.  This event is being held at the Henry County Hospital.

The Bill Riley Talent Show, Farm Family Ag Appreciation Meal, Legos, and it’s Movie Night at the Henry County Fair at McMillan Park in Mt. Pleasant!  Lots of animals, food, and fun!  Here’s a list of events for today:

  • 10:00am Dog Show (west end of WP)
  • 12:00pm Sheep Show
  • 3:00pm Goat Show (or will start 30 minutes after sheep show)
  • 4:00pm  LEGO Judging
  • 5:00pm – 6:30pm Farm Family Ag Appreciation Meal (WP)
  • 6:30pm 4-H/Farm Bureau Bottle Animal Show
  • 7:00pm Bill Riley Talent Show
  • Dusk Movie Night (between WP and Grandstand)

The Van Buren County Fair in Keosauqua will wrap up today’s showings with a Barn Dance!  Here are today’s show times:

  • All Day     Village Folk School’s “Paint the Fair”
  • 8:00 am   4-H/FFA Sheep Show – Show Barn
  • 1:00 pm    4-H/FFA Meat Goat Show (or a half-hour after Sheep Show) – Show Barn  
  • 2:00 pm    Youth Activity – Methodist Youth Building
  • 3:00 pm    4-H/FFA Dairy Goat Show (immediately after Meat Goat Show) 
  • 5:00 pm     Clover Kid Show (Swine Barn)
  • 7:00 pm     Livestock Judging Contest (Swine Barn)
  • 8-11:00 pm   Barn Dance (Show Barn)

The Henry County Conservation Department is hosting an Introduction to Disc Golf out at the Oakland Mills Nature Center from 5pm – 7pm.  Preregistration is not required!  Learn the rules and strategies, then play a few rounds.  Please meet at the Top-of-Hill Shelter.

The Washington County Fair in Washington features fun activities, great food and a youth dance tonight!
