The Mt. Pleasant Farmer’s Market under the Wright Family Pavilion at McMillan Park features local, fresh produce, crafts, baked goods and just about something new every week.  The Farmer’s Market is open from 8:30a-11a and on Wednesday afternoons from 4p-6p. 

The Oakland Mills Nature Center “At the Park” adventure is Family Fun Fishing from 9am – noon at the Nature Center in Oakland Mills. Fly fishing and bait will be discussed and participants over the age of 16 must have a fishing license.

The Louisa County Fair in Columbus Junction wraps up today with a Louisa Co. Community Foundation FREE Breakfast at the show barn.  Breakfast will be served from 8am – 9am.

The New London VFW Post 7641 is serving dinner tonight from 5pm-7pm! Choose between a Ham Steak meal for $12  or Ribeye Steak meal including a baked potato, salad, and roll for $22!

Fairfield Treasure Hunt Weekend is a celebration of savings, local pride, and treasure-hunting fun! This year’s event is a pirate-themed selfie challenge and features city-wide garage sales! Retailers will offer exclusive deals and special promotions!  Pick up a treasure map at the Fairfield Chamber office or at a participating retailer.

  • Pirate Selfie Challenge:  Each participating retail store will feature a pirate-themed item. Shoppers are invited to snap a selfie with the item and post it to social media using the hashtag #FairfieldTreasureHunt.
  • Prizes will be awarded for: Most selfies taken, Best selfie, Most creative pirate pose, And more!

The Fairfield Youth Performing Arts features a production of “Mary Poppins Jr.” at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center at 7:00pm!  Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for youth.  There is also a performance on Sunday at 3pm.

The Theatre Museum Repertoire Americana is open today from 10am – 4pm (closed 12-12:30pm for lunch)! The museum is dedicated to the preservation of memorabilia and artifacts of early repertoire theatre. The collection includes painted curtains and scenic pieces; costumes and equipment; playbills, show cards, advertising sheets, and so much more!   The museum is located on the Old Threshers grounds at 405 Thresher Road and is open weekly Thursday – Saturday through Labor Day.

The Dover Museum in New London is open from 1pm – 4pm at 213 W. Main Street.  The Dover Museum is open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons every weekend.
