The Presbyterian Women are holding their annual Fall Rummage & Bake Sale from 12pm – 6pm today and on Saturday from 8am – 1pm!  All items are 50 cents, unless otherwise marked!  Saturday features a $2 a bag sale after 11am!  The South Doors open at noon at the First Presbyterian Church, 902 S. Walnut Street in Mt. Pleasant!

The Children’s Discovery Center at the Mt. Pleasant Public Library is open from 10am – 12pm.  The Discovery Center is located next to the library at 307 E. Monroe Street.  There is something to discover for children of all ages!  The Discovery Center will also be open on Monday from 12pm – 2pm.

Mainstreet Mt. Pleasant invites you to join in Broomsticks and Brews in downtown Mt. Pleasant starting at 5pm-8pm!  It’s adult-style Halloween fun with music and themed drinks in Central Park.

The Villages of Van Buren invite everyone to celebrate Fall with the annual Scenic Drive Festival from 9am – 5pm.

  • parades, car & motorcycle shows,

Enjoy great food, and of course beautiful Fall Color!  Head down to Keosauqua and enjoy the Scenic Drive Festival!

The Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club is joining Addington Place, 1406 Linden Dr., in Mt. Pleasant for “Lunch for a Cause” on Tuesday, October 14th You can purchase a ticket for $10 from any Rotarian or call Addington Place at 319-385-7227.  Lunch includes country style pulled pork sandwich, Boston baked beans, farm fresh coleslaw, and a blue ribbon pumpkin bar!  Walk-ins are welcome and you can make checks out to Rotary! Proceeds from Lunch for a Cause will go toward worldwide efforts for polio eradication and the installation of a story walk at Oakland Mills Nature Center!
