The public is invited to a Women’s Wellness and Safety Summit at 6pm at the Belle Center, 107 W. Broad Street in Mt. Pleasant.  October is both Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  This program features speakers and information on breaking silence, saving lives, and building hope.  Resource tables will be available with information on screenings, local services, and support networks.  The Women’s Wellness and Safety Summit is free and available to all.

The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance Government Relations Committee is holding a candidate forum at 6pm at the Mt. Pleasant High School, 2104 S. Grand Avenue. The candidates running for Mt. Pleasant Community School District School Board will answer questions.   All Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce members are encouraged to submit questions in the link provided in “What’s Up Weekly.   The list of candidates includes:
