The City of Mount Pleasant Compost Site at 700 West Yocum Lane is open for the season. Hours are Wednesdays from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The site is located southwest of Saunders Park at the end of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive. Trenton, Iowa’s 2026 Easter Egg Hunt event will be held from 9am – 11am!  Gather at Trenton Park for the Egg Hunt at 10am.  Breakfast will be for sale from Wesley Chapel!

The Mt. Pleasant Fire & Rescue Department Pancake Breakfast is from 6am – 10am at the fire station, 204 S. Jackson Street (Jackson St. at Washington St.).  Firefighters will be serving up all you can eat pancakes, whole hog sausage, fresh coffee, cold milk, and OJ! The breakfast is a free will donation!  Have a delicious breakfast, visit with friends and support the MP Fire & Rescue – serving our community with pride!
