The City of Salem, Iowa, special election to elect a city council person is today.  Salem residents are encouraged to vote from 7am – 8pm at the Salem Public Library.

The Ladies Adventure Group will host a Spring Wildflower Hike on Tuesday, April 7th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Big Hollow Recreation Area. Women ages 18 and older are invited to take part in this guided outdoor experience, where participants will learn to identify spring wildflowers and edible plants while enjoying a relaxed hike through the area. The event offers a great opportunity to connect with others, explore nature, and learn something new. Registration is required, and attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water.

It’s TACO TUESDAY at the Mt. Pleasant Moose Lodge from 5pm – 7pm.  Taco salads, walking tacos, soft shells, chicken and beef with all the fixings are on the menu.  Members and a guest are welcome and the meal is $5-$8.
