Nancy Jo Meek, 77, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Bonaparte, Iowa passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Presbyterian Flower Mound Hospital in Flower Mound, Texas.
She was born on March 17, 1949, in Fairfield, Iowa, the daughter of Harold E. and Mary Catherine (Taylor) Meek.
She is survived by her siblings: Margaret (Jon “Mike”) Munford, Tom (Deb) Meek, Isaiah “Ike” (Kit) Meek; two nieces, four nephews and several cousins. Also surviving are her special friends in Texas: Nina George, and her daughters Gillie and Gracie, as well as Pam O’Halleron.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Nancy was a graduate of Harmony High School. She worked as a flight attendant for Braniff Airlines. She was a member of the Clipper Bees Retired Flight Attendants.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2026 at the Bonaparte Cemetery in Bonaparte, Iowa with Reverend Sara Hegar officiating.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
