High School Baseball
Danville fell to Mediapolis last night, 18-1. Alex Pfadenhauer tabbed the lone RBI for the Bears.
Danville will make the trip to West Burlington tomorrow, June 4th, at 7 pm.
Mediapolis will head to Burlington tonight at 7 pm.
Central Lee’s five-run fourth inning was all they needed to defeat Burlington last night, 5-4. Wyatt Day claimed two RBIs for the Hawks.

Winfield-Mt. Union clobbered Wapello last night, 12-1. Graham Haines tallied three RBIs and Parker Wilson slashed a double for two RBIs for the Wolves. Wyatt Strawhacker notched the only RBI for Wapello.
Winfield-Mt. Union will contend against Keokuk tonight at 5:30 pm at home.
Wapello will tangle with Louisa-Muscatine on the road tomorrow at 7 pm.
Fairfield collected their fourth straight win last night, pulverizing Albia, 17-4. Archer Kreuter led the offense with a home run and four RBIs in the victory. The Trojans will take on Fort Madison tomorrow at 5:30 pm.
Burlington Notre Dame snapped a four-game losing streak last night after walking off West Burlington, 5-4. The Nikes will travel to New London tomorrow at 7 pm.

Mediapolis’ Payton Harris slugged her way to a victory last night, as the sophomore hit two home runs for three RBIs in a 5-3 final over Danville.

Central Lee whalloped Columbus last night, 19-2. The Hawks will travel to Mediapolis tomorrow at 7 pm.

WACO fell to Lone Tree last night, 20-3. The Warriors will play Keota tomorrow at 6:30 pm.

High School Postseason Soccer
In Class 1A Region 2, the Mediapolis girls’ team dropped their contest to Assumption last night, 10-0. The Bullettes finished the season with a 10-5-1 record.
For the Class 2A Region 4 semifinals, the Fort Madison girls’ team snapped an eight-game losing streak to Burlington last night, 3-1. Hadley Wolfe netted two goals in the win. The Grayhounds finished the year with a 14-3-1 record.
Fort Madison will travel to North Scott tomorrow, June 4th, for the Regional Championship at 7 pm.
High School Boys’ Tennis
The 2026 Iowa High School Athletic Association’s State Team championships are set with Wahlert Catholic facing off against Xavier in Class 1A and Waukee Northwest looking to cap off the perfect season in Class 2A against Iowa City West.
Local Summer Athletic Camps
Mt. Pleasant girls’ basketball is offering up a camp for any girls’ basketball players entering 3rd through 12th grades from June 23rd through the 25th located at the Mt. Pleasant High School Gym. The camp will focus on the fundamentals and introduce team concepts employed by the high school’s system.

Southeastern Community College
The All-Region teams were announced for both the baseball and softball teams yesterday and baseball put 13 on the team, while softball nabbed an award winner.
For baseball, Isaac Flamino, who went a perfect 5-0 on the mound with a 3.82 ERA, Kyler Kaczmarski, Kam Francois, who ranked top five in batting average and on-base percentage, and James Nydegger were named to the First Team.
Logan Kelley headlined the softball team, as she was named Defensive Player of the Year. She also hit 20 home runs for 62 RBIs. Joining Kelley on the First Team was Lydia Zaruba, who batted 0.383, Anna Woods, Jaimee Bolduc, and Araceli Rivas, who claimed a conference leading 177 strikeouts and an impressive ERA of 2.78.
The Southeastern Blackhawks Youth MVP Baseball Camp has opened up for registration. The camp is open for youths ages 7 to 12, running June 15th through the 17th from 9 am to noon. The camp will take place at Wagner Athletic Complex on the West Burlington Campus and will cost $150 for the full three day camp. The Burlington Bees rallied back from a six-run deficit to beat the Clinton LumberKings yesterday, 8-7. The two will have a rematch tonight at 6:30 pm in Burlington.
