Washington Police are investigating an alleged assault involving a juvenile Sunday night.
According to the Washington County call log, officers were called to a home in the 1200 block of North Iowa Avenue shortly before 9:30 p.m.
The caller reported finding a man in the yard after returning home from church. About 30 minutes later, the man allegedly approached a juvenile from behind and kicked him while the juvenile was taking out the trash.
Police identified the man as Cory J. Brackin of Washington and formally trespassed him from the property. A police report is being filed.
The call log does not indicate whether the juvenile was injured or whether any charges have been filed. Anyone accused of a crime is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
