A Riverside man was cited Wednesday following a report of gunfire near a neighboring property.
Washington County sheriff’s deputies were called to the 2100 block of Palm Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. The caller reported that a neighbor was firing a gun toward her property and believed he was hunting ground squirrels.
Following an investigation, deputies cited David James Birney of Riverside for hunting too close to a building.
