Prep Baseball: Mediapolis Rolls, W-MU Falls, Other Finals:
Mediapolis 10, Louisa-Muscatine 0
Mediapolis stayed hot scoring four runs in the 3rd and 6th innings as they rolled past Louisa-Muscatine 10-0 last night.
Tyler Samuel and Jaxon Brooks combined to limit Louisa-Muscatine to just two hits over six innings as Mediapolis dominated at the plate and in the field.
Josh Darbyshire led the Bulldog offense with three hits and two runs batted in.
He also scored three times.
Brooks had two hits, including a triple — while Aidan Danz had a pair of singles.
The win sparked Mediapolis to 15-7.
Louisa-Muscatine dropped to 7-9.
Highland 12, Winfield-Mount Union 2
Andrew Brown drove in one, but it was Highland’s bats that did the talking as the Huskies cruised to a 12-2 win over Winfield-Mount Union last night.
Brown singled and walked and drove in one while Demetrius Woodsmall had the other run batted in for the Wolves.
Luke Pfeiffer was the losing pitcher for Winfield, tossing four innings allowing three earned runs while walking one.
Bryce Thompson had three hits in three trips to lead Highland.
Connor Grinstead also had a multi-hit night for the Huskies.
Highland improved to 12-7.
Winfield-Mount Union dropped to 2-18.

Prep Softball: Mount Pleasant Swept, Winfield-Mount Union Upended:
Burlington 10, Mount Pleasant 0
Burlington 18, Mount Pleasant 0
The Mount Pleasant softball team was beaten twice by Burlington yesterday in a Southeast Conference doubleheader.
The Greyhounds took game one 10-0.
Madison Helling was the losing pitcher in the opener.
Emma Starr, Jersey Beachy and Jayden Housh each had hits for the Panthers.
In game two, Burlington scored eight runs in the 1st inning and added 10 in the the 2nd as they rolled to an 18-0 win.
Emma Starr took the loss.
Grace Kelley had a hit and two stolen bases for the Panther offense.
Mount Pleasant dropped to 1-27.
Highland 3, No. 13 (1A) Winfield-Mount Union 2
Winfield-Mount Union saw Highland rally for a two RBI hit in the 7th inning as the Huskies came from behind for a walkoff 3-2 win over 1A’s 13th ranked Lady Wolves.
Mackenzie Hora had two hits for Highland.
Jessica Kraus and Grace Batcheller combined to hold Winfield-Mount Union to just five hits while striking out eight in total.
The loss dropped Winfield-Mount Union to 14-5.
Highland improved to 16-6.
No. 4 (3A) West Burlington-Notre Dame 9, Danville 0
Lauren Summers dominated the circle, allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out 10 as the fourth-ranked (3A) West Burlington-Notre Dame Falcons rolled to a 9-0 win over Danville last night.
Logan Kelley homered and drove in two while producing a three hit night.
Lydnsey Kelley added three hit night and scored two runs.
The Falcons improved to 26-3.
Danville dropped to 6-12.

College Basketball: Iowa to Play on Road for Big Ten/ACC Challenge:
Iowa will play at Virginia for the 2021 Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
The Hawkeyes will play at Virginia on the first day of the event which is set for Monday, November 29th.
Other regional matchups will see:

- Nebraska at NC State
