In cooperation with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach-Henry County, we are pleased to offer another year of Henry County Leadership. This intensive leadership and community development program strives to provide our communities with an enduring source of diverse leaders who are prepared and committed to serving this region.
As a skills-building program, Henry County Leadership aims to:
- Identify and motivate emerging community leaders;
- Provide an educational experience with a strong emphasis on both leadership skills and community awareness;
- Challenge participants to apply their talents within their community while providing an opportunity to become involved.
Each session will include 3 hours of instructional service dedicated to leadership training taught by Iowa State University Extension staff members. The remaining portion of the day will include tours and visits of various locations in and around Henry County. One of the most popular sessions is our Southeast Iowa Days in Des Moines with leadership participants from Des Moines, Lee and Louisa County.
This program is open to all chamber members. A brochure is included along with a simple application. The deadline for application is noon on September 3, 2021 so please complete your application and return to us today!
