Mount Pleasant Community Chorale Getting Back Together

Iowa Wesleyan University Director of Choral Activities, Blair Buffington is excited for the new Mount Pleasant Chorale season to get started.  He welcomes both returning members and new members. And encourages them to join the IW Choir for the Homecoming Alumni & Friends Choir Reunion. There will be a one-hour reunion on Saturday, October 2^nd at 4 pm in Old Main and another reunion opportunity at the Homecoming Worship Service at 10 am Sunday October 3 in the IW Chapel. The combined choirs will be singing the traditional Arnold Sevier Precious Lord for this campus service. The first MPC rehearsal will be Monday, October 4^th, at 7 pm in Old Main 300 (third floor) on the IW Campus. They will begin right away with literature for Lessons & Carols which is scheduled for December 4-5. And last but not least, Buffington is pleased to announce that the choir’s spring collaboration with SEISO will be in performance of the bulwark Carmina Burana. As on the past they will partner with the IW Choir and other regional organizations for this spectacular piece of music.
