On September 13th, 2024, at approximately 4:32 a.m., the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 295th Street and Highway 218. An investigation into the collision determined Thomas Adkins, 22 of Stockport, was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Blazer south bound on Highway 218. While traveling south bound the vehicle left the roadway entering the west ditch. The vehicle then collided with a stop sign before coming to a stop on the outside shoulder of the roadway. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $8000. No injuries were reported. The driver was cited for Failure to Maintain Control of a Motor Vehicle.
