Army Sergeant Sajon Pohren, 26, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026.
Sajon was born on December 2, 1999, in Washington, Iowa, the beloved son of Jason and Daisha (Ross) Pohren. He was a loving husband to Alyssa and a beloved father to his three beautiful children, Braxten, Oaklee and Wrenlee, who were the center of his world. Sajon was also the beloved brother of Paityn and United States Marine Corporal Brayton “Ozzie” Pohren. Sajon treasured the time he spent with his wife and children, making memories together, laughing or just enjoying time as a family. He was a proud father who loved them deeply and a husband who cherished his family with all his life.
Sajon was honored and proud to serve his country in the United States Army. He served his country with honor and dedication and his commitment to helping others extended beyond his military services. He had a heart for people and was a kind person who would quietly step forward when someone needed help the most. He had a love for mustang cars, World War II history, scuba diving, camping, shooting guns with his mother and baseball games with his dad. The little things that made him who he was are among many memories his family and friends will be forever held close.
Sajon was a loving grandson, nephew and cousin, who valued family and the relationships that shaped his life. He was more than a soldier, husband, father, brother or son, he was someone who brought his own unique light into the lives of others. He leaves behind a family who loved him beyond words and whose hearts will carry his memory. His life may have been too short but the love he gave, the memories he created and the lives he touched will endure. Rest in Peace. Sajon will be forever loved and missed and will always be part of the family he cherished so deeply, his strength and memories will live through your family and children who will grow up knowing how deeply their father loved them.
