Rosa L. Prevett, 81, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at her daughter’s home.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. A graveside service will be held at a later date

Doris Dian Crocker, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 72 years of age. She lived her entire life in Southeast Virginia and had just recently moved to South Texas.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Peninsula Memorial Park at 12750 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, Virginia. Doris will be buried next to her father. In lieu of flowers her family requests memorials be made to the Lockridge First Responders or the Lockridge Fire Department. The family request that memorials be mailed to Murphy Funeral Home at 408 North Broadway Street, Mount Pleasant, Iowa 52641.

Forrest Gregory Coppage, 78, of Claremore, OK, passed away February 12, 2022. He was born in Ft. Madison, IA on Nov. 28, 1943 to Percy and Ruth Heryford Coppage. Greg married Dianna Adam on Dec. 11, 1965 at Sacred Heart Church in Ft. Madison. He is survived by his wife of 56 years and his children, Deb, Laura (Wes Rettig), Craig and 9 grandchildren.
Greg worked at First Mississippi in Ft. Madison until he relocated to Claremore, OK to work at Terra Nitrogen.
Greg’s loves in life were sports, vintage cars, American history, playing cards, hunting, camping and fishing. He looked forward to “deer camp” and hunting with his son, family and friends. He felt he belonged in the outdoors and would often look out the car window at a far off timber and say “I could just take off walking and live out there.”
Being part of a large family was central to Greg’s life. He loved his siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews and enjoyed the many get-togethers and celebrations over the years. Gathering with his family for Superbowl Weekend was an anticipated yearly tradition.
He always supported his kids and grandkids in their activities and their lives. His cowboy hat and boots were recognized immediately, with shouts of “Grandpa is here!” His twinkling blue eyes, mischievous grin and warm hug could make anyone feel better and instantly loved.
His care of his wife in the last few years is a tribute to their love and his strength. He taught his children many lessons in life, most without words, but with actions of hard work, love and always being there. He will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 9, 2022 at Calvary Cemetery in West Point, Iowa
A Celebration of Life Gathering with Greg’s favorite meal will follow at St. Mary’s Church in Riverside, IA.
