Charlotte Loges, 83, of Donnellson, Iowa, passed away at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Birkwood Village in Fort Madison, Iowa.
She was born on December 27, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Adolf and Melinda (Bartsch) Jahnke. On November 3, 1990, she married Roger Loges in Crawford, Colorado. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2022.
She is survived by three children: Danette Onstott of Greenville, South Carolina, Todd (Sally) Onstott of Donnellson, Iowa and Craig (Anna) Onstott of Crawford, Colorado; grandchildren: Brandon (Chanae), Joshua (Bria), John Michael, Mason (Emilee), Shannon (Aaron), Taylor, Amber (Jason), Curtis and Kolsie; great grandchildren: Phoebe, Macy, Kynlee, Ashley, William and Kaylee. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one brother and one sister.
Charlotte was a registered nurse and loved farming. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson, where the family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson with Pastor Orie Thomford officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at the Garden of Memories in Crawford, Colorado.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
