Connie was born June 14, 1945, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Malcom “Mike” and Elsie Lucille (Ross) Farr. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant High School graduating class of 1963. On December 19, 1981, Connie was united in marriage to Thomas Weatherman at the Open Bible Church in Mount Pleasant. Connie and Tom made their home in the Salem community. Connie was a devoted manager of Milestones Agency on Aging in Salem, serving the community faithfully for 47 years. She was a member of Gospel Peace Baptist Church. Connie and Tom were avid card players, spending countless evenings playing a variety of games. While she loved spending time with others, she also enjoyed spending some quiet time with a book. Connie was often found in the kitchen, baking sweet treats or preparing delicious meals for her family to enjoy together. Above all else, Connie loved spending time with her family. She never missed an opportunity to cheer on her children and grandchildren as they participated in their events.
Connie is survived by her husband Tom; three children Shawn (Nikki) Sullivan of Wickenburg, AZ, Natalie (Tony) McDowell of Mount Pleasant, Katie (Cory) Westphal of Mount Pleasant; five grandchildren Madison (Peyton Williams) McDowell, Delaney (Jonathan) Ita, Raeger Sullivan, Lillie Westphal, Noah Westphal; and brother James (Pam) Farr of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2026, at Gospel Peace Baptist Church in Salem with Pastor Aaron Helterbran officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at the Olson-Yoder Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Memorial funds have been established for Salem First Responders and Gospel Peace Baptist Church.
