as allowed by Iowa Code 21.8

Citizen comments:  Comments must be directed to the subject under consideration.  The presiding officer shall rule on the relevance of the citizen comments.  Citizens making personal, impertinent, or slanderous remarks may be barred by the presiding officer from further comment before the Council during the meeting.

 

  1. Call to order, 6:00 p.m..

 

  1. Accept or amend the agenda.

 

  1. Open forum: A time set aside to receive comments from the public regarding city business.  The Mayor and City Council welcome comments from the public on any subject pertaining to City business, including items on this agenda.  You are asked to state your name and address for the record and to limit your remarks to five minutes in order that others may be given the opportunity to speak.  The Order of Business is at the discretion of the Chair.  No action will be taken.

 

  1. Discussion on proposed Ordinance Number 237, changes to Danville City Code, Chapter 13.10 Electric Rates.
  2. Second reading of proposed Ordinance Number 237.
  3. Action on the second reading of proposed Ordinance Number 237.
  4. Discussion on possibly waving the third reading of propose Ordinance Number 237.
  5. Action on the third reading of proposed Ordinance Number 237.

 

  1. Discussion and action on Resolution 2024-11, establishing water rates effective July 1, 2024.

 

  1. City Electrician’s report.
  2. Update on any on-going projects.  Action if needed.

 

  1. Fire Chief/building inspector report – action by council if needed.

 

  1. Public Works report.
  2. Update on sidewalk repair on the east side of North Main Street.  Action by council if

needed.

  1. Review of information presented pertaining to Driveways (establishing an ordinance

pertaining to driveway).

  1. Review of letter received from the property owner at 307 East Dewey Street pertaining

to their sewer line.  Action if needed.

  1. Public Works written report. Action if needed.

 

  1. Approval of consent agenda.
  2. Council minutes of May 20, 2024 (full & summary minutes).
  3. Payment of bills.

The next regular session of the Danville City Council will be on

Monday, June 17, 2024, Danville City Hall.  Council will be meeting with the

Danville & Pleasant Grove Township Trustees, starting at 6:30 that same night.
