Dean Warren Klein, 19, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
Dean was born on August 21, 2006, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Brian and Kandi (Prickett) Klein. He graduated from Winfield High School in the class of 2024.
Dean was a quiet soul with an adventurous spirit. He had a deep appreciation for history and enjoyed collecting vintage treasures, especially antique electronics, music memorabilia, and military artifacts. He loved spending time thrift shopping in search of unique finds and enjoyed cooking for himself and those he cared about. Music was one of Dean’s greatest passions, and he was always eager to share his favorite songs with others. He also cherished the companionship of the family cat, Peachy.
Dean is survived by his loving parents, Brian and Kandi Klein; his brothers, Jonathan (Carly) McArtor and Merrek (Gabby) Klein; his sister, Cierra McArtor; his niece, Sawyer; his nephews, Hudson and Hayden; his paternal grandparents, Paul and Irene Klein; his maternal grandparents, Stephen and Joyce Prickett; and Bev “Sassy” Prickett; two uncles, Steven (Kendra) Klein and Matthew (Kelly) Prickett, along with many other loving relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Dean’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the funeral home where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. that evening.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Murphy Funeral Home, and a private family burial will be held at the Scott Township Cemetery in Winfield.
