Dennis C. Wilson

Dennis C. Wilson, 76, of Twin Lake, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Dennis was born on July 17, 1945, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the son of Donald C. Wilson and Edna L. Dawson. He married Lana Meyers September 12, 1965; she preceded him in death May 29, 1975. He married Linda (Willis) Morrow February 29, 1976.

Dennis graduated from Mt. Pleasant Community High School, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa in 1963. In January 1968, he joined the US Navy. He was a construction electrician with the Seabees and did two tours of duty in Vietnam. In November 1971, he was honorably discharged. He earned the following medals during his military career: Republic of Vietnam Campaign, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Combat Operations Insignia Medal. In April 1976, Dennis moved to Montague, Michigan. He was an electrician at Howmet Corporation until his retirement in 2001. He was an avid “car buff” and was a member of the National Hot Rod Association. He enjoyed working on his 1929 Ford Roadster, wood working, hunting, and car races. His love for the family dogs and bird watching became a big comfort to him when he could no longer do the many things he enjoyed doing.
