Donald L Burdette, 96, formally of Donnellson, passed away at 2:40 p.m. Thursday, September 30th, 2021, at Sunny Brook Assisted Living Fort Madison.
He was born December 20, 1924 in Fort Madison, the son of George Elihu and Florence L. (Sawyer )Burdette. On July 3, 1946 he married Lotus Fett in Kahoka, Missouri.
Survivors include grandsons: Benjamin T. (Sharon) and Anthony J. Ramirez of Glendale, Arizona; two great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two daughters: Carolyn and Diane; one grandson; two brothers and two sisters.
Donald was a veteran of WWII and member of Green Acres Golf Course.
His body has been entrusted to Schmitz Funeral Home’s crematory for cremation.
A private graveside service will be held at Embury Cemetery.
