The Mount Pleasant Vets Hall (VFW) at 300 W. Monroe St. Monthly Veterans Breakfast is from 8:30am – 9:30am. The breakfast is open to the community for a free-will donation.

The Mt. Pleasant Public Library’s Children’s Discovery Center is open from 10am – 12pm today, where there is something for everyone to discover!  The Children’s Discover Center is also open on Saturday this weekend from 10am – Noon.

City of Mount Pleasant curbside yard waste collection is underway. Pickup takes place on Fridays, and residents must contact City Hall by noon on Thursday to be added to the list. To schedule a pickup, call 319-385-1470.

DMC Regional Waste’s main drop-off location at 1000 West Washington Street in Mount Pleasant is open Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Residents can drop off recyclables and rechargeable batteries during these hours.
