The Children’s Discovery Center at the Mt. Pleasant Public Library is open from 10am – 12pm.  The Discovery Center is located next to the library at 307 E. Monroe Street.  There is something to discover for children of all ages!  The Discovery Center will also be open on Monday from 12pm – 2pm.

The City of New London invites all to a city wide “Trunk or Treat” from 5pm – 7pm!  This event will take place in City Park, with the New London Lions providing hot dogs starting at 5pm and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary hosting the “Trunk or Treat!”

Winfield Lions Club is hosting a Halloween Costume Contest Registration begins at 4:45 and the contest is at 5pm with no late entries allowed. They will have 5 categories…

1. Ages 0 to 5
2. Ages 6 to 10
3. Ages 11 to 18
4. Adults
5. Themed groups of 2 or more

Cash prizes will be awarded. This will be held next to the Winfield Weenie Roast near Pilot Grove Savings Bank in Winfield. In case of inclement weather, the contest will be held at the Winfield Legion Hall.

It’s Trick or Treat night in Danville from 5:30pm – 7pm!  Turn the porch light on if you are participating!

Victorian View’s Halloween Ghost Investigation is at the Victorian View in Washington, Iowa!  Have a spooky good time at a public ghost investigation with host investigators from Midwest Shadow Chasers. There will be a large group meet and greet, small group investigations, and fireside chat to discuss the experience & evidence. General admission is $25 from 7pm-1am.  Sleep over options are available for $45-$175 from 7pm-9am at the Victorian View, 320 W. 2nd Street in Washington! 319-800-8805
