October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and walk-ins (no appointment necessary) for routine screening mammograms are welcome today at the Henry County Health Center from 9am – 3pm.  This is for patients over 40 years for a routine exam and normal billing processes apply.

The Children’s Discovery Center at the Mt. Pleasant Public Library is open from 10am – 12pm.  The Discovery Center is located next to the library at 307 E. Monroe Street.  There is something to discover for children of all ages!  The Discovery Center will also be open on Saturday from 10am – noon.

It is Military Appreciation Night at the Mt. Pleasant Panther Football Game tonight!  Free admission for all military and veterans Mt. Pleasant Veterans invites any military member to meet by the flagpole out at Mapleleaf Athletic Complex at 7:10pm for the National Anthem.  Kick off is at 7:30pm as Mt. Pleasant takes on Solon!
