Henry County Public Health invites all to the BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR from 4pm – 7pm at the MPCSD Central Campus Gym at 100 W. Franklin St. and check off all back school health needs for your children in one stop!  There will be resource tables, kids’ activities, and giveaways.  (Language translation is available at this event.)

• Back to School Immunizations (required for K & 9th grade)
• Dental Screening (required for K & 9th grade)
• Vision Screening (required for K & 3rd grade)
• Lead Testing (required for Kindergarten)
• Sports Physicals – grades 7-12 – $25 cash only

Today is the LAST DAY to register for the The Oakland Mills Nature Center’s “Sourdough Starter” class with Henry Conservation Department Board member Tony Brown.  The class will be held from 6-7:30pm on August 18th, however, registration is required.  Learn the history of sourdough and get all of the tasty details!

The Harvest Day Parade is coming up on Wednesday, August 27th at 3:30pm in Mt. Pleasant, and all are invited to participate!  Floats, tractors, Old Threshers Miss Sweet Sixteen Contestants, Mt. Pleasant Marching bands, and more make up this annual parade that kicks off the 75th Midwest Old Threshers Reunion!
