Attention New London Residents! Your trash pick up schedule is changing from Mondays to Thursdays. This week your garbage will be collected both today and again on Thursday, August 3. Be sure to set your trash out both days during the transition. After this week, trash collection in the city of New London will take place on Thursdays.
The Children’s Discovery Center at the Mt. Pleasant Public Library re-opens TODAY from noon – 2pm. The Discovery Center is open on Mondays from 12pm – 2pm, Fridays from 10am – 12pm and every other Saturday from 10am – 12pm! Explore and Discovery at the Children’s Discovery Center, E. Monroe Street!
Community Blood Drive- ImpactLife will host a community blood drive on 08/03/26 from 02:00 pm – 06:30 pm at Ainsworth Community Church and at Faith Lutheran Church/Mt. Pleasant from 03:00 pm – 06:15 pm. Donating blood is a simple way to help ensure local hospitals have the lifesaving blood products they need for patients facing surgery, cancer treatments, traumatic injuries, and other medical emergencies. Eligible donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment or walk in if space allows. Every donation can help save lives throughout the region. Click the link to register:
