Spring Clean Up in Salem, Iowa today!  Residents can get rid of unwanted items: a complete list of what will and will not be collected, plus guidelines on collection can be found on the City of Salem Facebook page.

The New London Fire and Rescue department is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner at the Fire Station, 101 West Main in New London.  The dinner is from 3:00pm – 7:00pm.  Free Will Donation!

The Lee County Conservation Department is hosting the Pheasants Forever Youth Fishing Derby!  The Derby begins at 9:00am at Heron Bend Fishing Area!

Parkview Home in Wayland will be holding a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser at the Fire Station in Wayland from 7 am to 10 am. The fundraiser will provide financial aid for Crystal Chunn, a long-term Certified Nurse Aide at Parkview Home, as she is currently fighting her second round of breast cancer with surgery, corrective surgery, and treatment. In addition, an account has been set up at Wayland State Bank in Wayland for Crystal that donations can be dropped off to.
