The Mt. Pleasant Veteran’s Hall is hosting a CHILI COOK-OFF from 5:30pm – 7:30pm!  There are prizes for Best Traditional, Best Non-Traditional, Spiciest, and People’s Choice!  Cost is $10 per person with children age 10 and under for $5.  A drawing will be held for a 36 gun safe.  All proceeds from this event go to veterans!

The Morning Sun Fire Department is hosting a FISH FRY starting at 5pm!  Catfish, Pollock, Chicken Nuggets, Fries, Baked Beans, & Cole Slaw are on the menu.  This meal is a free will donation and you can dine in, pick up or have your meal delivered.  Please call 319-868-7590.

The Green Mound Church of God is holding their annual Soup Supper from 5:30pm – 7:30pm.  Lots of homemade soups and desserts are on the menu and this is a free will donation meal.  Join the fun at Green Mound Church, 1275 Merrimac Road. A portion of the proceeds will go to Steve & Charlotte Zihlman family who recently lost their home in a fire.
