Spend the morning at McMillan Park in Mt. Pleasant:

  • The Mt. Pleasant Farmer’s Market under the Wright Family Pavilion at McMillan Park features local, fresh produce, crafts, baked goods and just about something new every week.  The Farmer’s Market is open from 8:30a-11a and on Wednesday afternoons from 4p-6p. 
  • Enjoy the weekend  with the Mt. Pleasant Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast from 6:30 am -11 am!  Breakfast (pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, juice…) will be served under the Wright Family Pavilion at McMillan Park!

Rome Days in Rome, Iowa, just west of Mt. Pleasant celebrates their town today with fun, BBQ, a car cruise, and LIVE music from 5pm – 7pm!  Gather with family & friends for an afternoon and evening of fun: (call 319-931-6177 with questions.)

  • Kettle corn all day! 
  • Food served is a Free Will donation! (ribeye or chicken sandwich, hotdogs, potato salad, baked beans, cookies, pop & water!
  • 3pm Pedal Pull (registration at 2:30pm)
  • 3pm Triple H Carriages – rides begin
  • 3pm Car Cruise
  • 5pm – 9pm Aces & Eights Rock and Country perform

The Henry County Fair at McMillan Park in Mt. Pleasant kicks off  today with Sinclair Tractor Breakfast at 8am!  Spend the day at the fair!  Here is a list of today’s activities:

  • 8:30am – 11:00am Farmers Market
  • 9:00am Beef Show
  • Noon – 4:00pm Free Kids Activities (Face Painting, Animal Balloons, Foam Blaster, Pony Rides & more!)
  • 3:00pm Production Animal Show
  • 7:00pm Demolition Derby (Beer Garden Open 9p – 11p)
  •       11 & Older – $10 (10 and under $5)
  •  9p – 11p Beer Garden Open at Wright Family Pavilion

Henry County Heritage Trust features “Mills of Henry County” with Tony Brown at 2pm.  Henry County Heritage Trust is located at 403 W. Madison Street and the museum will be open from 1p-4p.

The Van Buren County Fair in Keosauqua features Duel in the Dirt Drag Races tonight!  

  • 8:00 am                    4-H/FFA Beef Show – Show Barn     
  • Dairy Cattle Show (immediately following the Beef Show)
  • 1:00 pm                    Youth Activity – Methodist Youth Building
  • 7:00 pm                    Duel in the Dirt Drag Races
