The New London Masonic Lodge is hosting their 2nd annual Scholarship Golf Tournament!  Registration is at 8am with a shotgun start at 9am at the Deerwood Golf & Country Club in New London.  The cost is $200 for a 4 person team – please call Deerwood to sign up at 319-367-5216!

The Mt. Pleasant Farmer’s Market in McMillan Park is open from 8:30a-11a and features fresh produce, baked goods and more.  You can also visit the MP Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays from 4p-6p.

The 11th annual Salem Mud Run is set for 2pm at Hartley Park, just west of Salem on Highway J20!  Check in is from 10am – 1pm and includes power wheels, ATVs-side-by-side, Small Trucks, Big Trucks and more!  Admission is $5 for adults with children under 10 admitted for free.

Henry County Heritage Trust at 403 W. Madison Street in Mt. Pleasant features “History of Mount Pleasant’s Mental Health Institute” at 2pm with Talisa Jacobs.  The former MHI was once known as the “Insane Asylum” and the “Iowa State Hospital”. Mt. Pleasant’s MHI was one of four in the entire state.  The Henry County Heritage Trust museum is open from 1pm – 4pm.
