The Mt. Pleasant Rotary Clubs are hosting a Diaper Drive to support the Family Connection of Henry County!  Stop by the Hy Vee Food store in Mt. Pleasant from 9am – 11pm with your donation of diapers or basic baby supplies!  The Mt. Pleasant Rotary and the Family Connection are working to improve the lives of families in Henry County!

Join the City of New London for Breakfast in the Park from 7am – 10am!  Enjoy a hot breakfast to kick off your weekend…pancakes, biscuits & gravy, eggs, cinnamon rolls, muffins, breakfast casserole, and drinks!  This is a Free Will Donation breakfast!

The St. John Harvest Festival in Houghton, Iowa, is scheduled for to begin at 3pm with “Happy Hour,” followed by the Grain Auction at 4:00pm. The raffle includes a John Deere zero-turn lawn mower among lots of other great items! The $8,000 cash drawing will be held at 8pm with tickets at $25/person or 5 tickets for $100.  The St. John Harvest Festival is being held in the Houghton shelter house behind the KC Hall in Houghton.  Roast Beef sandwiches, and desserts are being served, and Wilson Brothers Food Truck will be available!

The New London VFW is serving steak dinners from 5p-7p tonight!  Enjoy a Ham Steak Dinner for $12 or a Ribeye Steak Dinner for $22.  Your dinner includes a baked potato, salad & dinner roll!

Gather your family & friends for Lockridge Fun Day from 7am – 3pm in Lockridge, Iowa!  Join in the Parade, Car Cruise, a 5K Fun Run/Walk! Breakfast and lunch will be served for a free will offering.  Check out Lockridge Fun Day on their Facebook page!

Player’s Workshop, 1431 Grove St. in Burlington, opens the theatrical season with the musical farce “Something Rotten”! Performances this weekend are at 7:30pm tonight, with a matinee on Sunday at 2pm.  “Something Rotten” has a PG-13 rating, and the biggest celebrity in England is a playwright named William Shakespeare!
