The Mt. Pleasant Winter Market kicks off from 9am – 12pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 902 S. Walnut Street!  You will find crafts, baked goods, gift ideas, and new items are added each week!  Shop the Winter Market in Mt. Pleasant every Saturday morning through December 13th!

The Children’s Discovery Center at the Mt. Pleasant Public Library, 307 E. Monroe Street, is open from 10am – 12pm!  There is something to discover for all ages at the Discovery Center, also open on Monday from 12pm – 2pm!

The opening reception for the American Revolution Experience Traveling Exhibit will be at 10:30am at the Mt. Pleasant Vets Hall 300 W. Monroe Street. The Traveling Exhibit will be available through November 12th.

The Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra presents the Kidsymphony; a John Williams Halloween with Superman, E.T., and Jurassic park!  Kids can wear their Halloween costumes and explore the magic of music by meeting the musicians after the show!  Concerts are:

  • 11am – Bridge View Center in Ottumwa
  • 2pm – Chapel Auditorium in Mt. Pleasant
  • 4pm – Capitol Theater in Burlington
  • Sunday, 2pm – Fairfield Arts & Convention Center

Denmark, Iowa presents a Renaissance Faire today and Sunday from 9am – 5pm!  Activities include camel rides and live sword fights, fire dancing, woodworking & storytelling, bagpipes & drums, and a costume contest: in fact, if you attend this event in FULL costume, you will receive $5 off your entry fee!  Ages 11 & under are free, ages 12-17/$10, 18 plus/$15.  DenRenIowa.com for more information and to purchase tickets on-line. The Harlan-Lincoln House presents Grab ‘N Go Lunch from 11:30am – 1pm at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant on Monday, November 3rd!   Lunch includes a choice of chili or Iowa corn chowder, crackers, celery/carrot sticks w/Ranch, baguette, cookie and water!  Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling or texting 319-931-1031 or email hassenfritzk56@gmail.com! You can also stop by the Harlan-Lincoln House from 2p-4p today to purchase a ticket!
