The Open Bible Church Annual Cookie Walk will be held at the church at 306 N. Cherry in Mount Pleasant from 8 am to noon.

The Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra Hollydaze Concert features holiday classics and carols for orchestra and voices including Voices Electric from Mt. Mercy University and Bryan Kelly’s Scrooge with words by Charles Dickens and narration by well-known local theater
artist Greg Wiley. It will take at the Iowa Wesleyan University Chapel Auditorium in Mt. Pleasant at 3 p.m. Admission is free for all.

The Swedish Heritage Society will host the annual Santa Lucia Celebration at the Parish Hall in Swedesburg. There will be an artist presentation of tatting and Norweigen Band Weaving at 2 pm followed by the Lucia Celebration at 3:30 pm.  This event is free and open to the public.  The gift shop will be open from noon to 6 pm.

The Van Buren County Christmas Studio Tour will be held from 9 am to 4pm featuring printmaking at the Calico Press, glass blowing at Bloom and Bark Farms, painting at Remnants and the Bonaparte School, wood carving at Waterfront Place and leather working at Holmes Leather Crafting.

Come to New London from 5 to 8 pm for the Annual Holiday Stroll.  There will be horse and carriage rides, ice carving, petting zoo, Prince and Princess contest.  Enjoy hot chocolate, smores and walking tacos. Check out the businesses on Main Street during the Holiday Stroll!

The Dover Museum in New London will be serving their special hot chicken sandwich or chicken and biscuit supper for a free will donation from 5-7 p.m. during the annual Holiday Stroll.  Check out the displays and the 3-story doll house decorated indoors and outside for Christmas, even on the widows’ walk!  Then bring the kids to view the operating model railroad in the depot.

New London VFW post 7641 Auxiliary will hold a Christmas bake sale from 5-7 p.m. at 802 East McKinley.
