Free lily tour July 16 and 23 from 7am to 11am. See 400 different lilies at 1015 250th St in rural Lockridge – 5 miles West of Oakland Mills. If you can’t make it during those times or have any questions call 319-696-2565.
The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market will be held in Wright Pavilion in McMillan Park from 8:30 am to 11 am.
The Mount Pleasant City compost site is open on Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm. The site is located behind Saunders Park at the intersection of Yocum Lane and Hoaghlin Drive.
The Henry County Fair continues at McMillan Park in Mount Pleasant. The Beef Show begins at 9 am in the livestock arena. The Little Prince and Princess contest will be held at 11:30 am in Wright Pavilion. Kids activities will be held from noon to 4 pm in Wright Pavilion and will include face painting, pony rides, a bounce house, educational trailers and more.
Other Henry County Fair activities… 3 pm Sheep and Goat Costume Contest, 7 pm Demo Derby, following the demo derby the beer garden will be open with entertainment by The Boys.
