Join the 1st Annual Cruise for Kids Car Show from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Walmart. Vehicle registration is $20, with check-in from 10 to 11 a.m. The public will vote for Best in Show through cash donations, with all proceeds benefiting the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Yak Attack at Geode State Park- Come join the Friends of Geode for the 2026 Lake Geode Yak Attack at the beach area in beautiful Geode State Park! Registration / Donation cost is $25 and includes a T-shirt! Registration will be at the beach area and starts at 7:30am with a group beach photo and a shotgun start at 9am. This event was started as a fundraiser for renovating the concession building at Geode State Park and is sponsored by the Danville Lions Club.

History of Trenton Iowa at 2:00pm with John Bennett- John has done extensive research on the history of Trenton, Iowa, one of Henry County’s oldest towns and the location of the Institute of Science! There will be surprising information for us all. Head to the Henry County Heritage Center at 403 W Madison in Mount Pleasant.
