The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce will host a legislative forum  from 7:30 to 9:00 AM at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. Elected officials invited to attend include Iowa Senate District 41 Representative Adrian Dickey, House District 88 Representative Helena Hayes, and House District 87 Representative Jeff Shipley. This event will be free and open to the public.

Easter Craft & Vendor show on April 8, 2023 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. located at the Moose Lodge in Mount Pleasant, IA! Many local crafters and vendors will be present at this event! Entry to shop is FREE as always! Come out and show all these fabulous small businesses!

Mt. Pleasant Fire Department is hosting it’s annual pancake breakfast Saturday, April 8th from 6:00AM to 10:00AM at the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department. 204 South Jackson. We will be serving pancakes, sausage, coffee, juice and milk. This year there will be a silent auction for a Traeger pellet grill. Proceeds will be going towards electric vehicle safety equipment.  Cost is free will donation.

Relay for Life Team No One Walks Alone is holding a craft and bake sale from 8 am to 2 pm at Kramers Gas and Grocery in Salem.  There will also be Easter Baskets for sale.

Community Easter Egg Hunt  beginning at 10 a.m. in Central Park. Age Groups 0-3, 4-6, 1st and 2nd grades, 3rd through 5th grades. Event hosted by City of Mount Pleasant, Hy-vee, Optimist club of Henry County, Hearth n Home Technologies, and Main Street Mount Pleasant.

Faith Christian Outreach Church is holding an Easter Egg Hunt at 10:30 at the Church on East Washington Street in Mount Pleasant and at the location in Fairfield. This is for ages zero to 6th grade.  There will be lots of eggs to find and some special prizes.

Des Moines County Conservation will be hosting a Spring Scavenger Hunt from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. This event will take place at Starr’s Cave Park and Preserve. Participants will be given a list of items to find throughout the park. There is no fee or registration required for this event, just come to the nature center to receive your list.
