Swedish Pancake Breakfast 8 am -11 am Swedish pancakes, potatis korv (potato sausage), ham, pastries, juice and coffee. $10.00 adults $5.00 children 8 and under. Located in the Swedesburg, Iowa, Parish Hall.

The Mount Pleasant Farmer’s Market is in the McWhirter Auto Sales building, 1200 West Washington Street, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. this morning.

9th Annual Salem Mud Run Sign-In starts at 10 a.m. Mud Run starts at 2 p.m. $5 for adults, kids 10 and under free. Wilson Bros BBQ will be serving and all proceeds will be donated in Pearson Franklin’s honor. Classes include: power wheels, ATVs – Side by sides, Street Legal – 2 wheel drive, Small Truck – Tire size up to 36, Super-Stock Small Tire – uncut 33 or less, Big Truck Small Tire – 33 or less, Super-Stock Mid Tire – Uncut 36 or less, Big Truck Mid Tire – 36 or less, Open – Any tire size.

The 3rd annual Pickle, Pork & Praise event is today, 4pm-8pm for grades 6-12 at the Mt. Pleasant Middle School Pickleball Courts!  Enjoy Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Yard Games, Pickle Eating Contest and an Outdoor Service!  It’s FREE!

Enjoy a fun-filled weekend while exploring all of the historic Villages of Van Buren with their 37th Bike Van Buren event. This is a casual, family-oriented bicycle ride through Van Buren County, Iowa. You’ll enjoy some of the finest hospitality around with SAG support and food/drink stops along the route. Although the majority of the route is on sparsely traveled paved county roads there are sections that include travel on state highway. There will also be entertainment Saturday night with Rushmore playing on First Street in downtown Keosauqua! You can register in-person on Saturday or Sunday between 7 am and 8:30 at Keosauqua City Park.

Head over to the VFW building in Mt. Pleasant at 103 South Jackson for a benefit for Scott Wichhart. Scott was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer in December and due to treatment and complications he has been unable to work and will need more time off. Scott and his wife have been living off her income as a school bus driver for the Mt. Pleasant School District. There will food, auction items, and music! Doors open at 3 pm with the silent auction going from 3 pm to 6 pm. Food will be brought out at 5 pm with the live auction starting at 5 pm followed by a DJ. Come together as Family, Friends, and Community to help out all that you can!
