Mount Pleasant Farmers Market from 8:30 to 11 am at Wright Pavilion in McMillan Park.

Wayland Antique Tractor Club is hosting a Tractor/Car show in the parking lot of Calvary Church in Mt. Pleasant on Saturday from 10am to 1pm. Big Creek Tractor Club is hosting their Tractor to Church ride on Sunday. They will leave from the Old Threshers grounds promptly at 8:45am and head to the Lockridge church… then walk across the road for some food before heading on to Brighton, Coppack, Wayland and then back to Mt. Pleasant.

Junkin Sisters Shop Hop runs today throughout southeast Iowa.  Vendors and pop-up shops will be open today from 9 am to 6 pm.  For more information about the event and about participating locations, click here.

CEMETERIES OF JACKSON TOWNSHIP  will be the topic of the 7th Annual Pioneer Cemetery Day at the Henry County Heritage Center Museum.  The program starts at 2 pm.  The museum is located at 403 W. Madison Street in Mount Pleasant. There is no admission but donations are appreciated.

The Mt. Pleasant Marching Invitational is at Mapleleaf Complex today.  The Middle School will perform in exhibition at 5:30 pm.  Bands perform throughout the night and the Mt. Pleasant High School performs in exhibition around 11 pm with awards given afterwards.  Concessions will be open and cost to enter is $5.

The Olds Community Picnic will be held in the city park from noon to 4 pm.  There will be food, drinks and fun for all ages.  The Bluegrass band “Banjoy” will entertain.

The Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra Pops concerts are this weekend. This evening the concert will be held at 7:30 pm at Ottumwa’s Bridgeview Center and Sunday at 4 pm at the Capital Theater in Burlington.
