The Mount Pleasant Compost site is open for the season Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm and Wednesdays 1 pm to 6 pm.  The site is located behind Saunders Park at the end of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive.

The Lockridge Flea Market runs April 10th and 11th starting at 8 am.  There will be a variety of vendors featuring antiques, collectibles, jewelry, baked good, Amish made rugs, framed Western art, furniture, metal signs, hand crafted items, etc.  The old bank building will also be open with items for sale.  Food will be available to purchase from the Whistle Stop Cafe.

The Cotillion Club announces the fifth dance of the 2020-2021 schedules. South 55 will play your favorites at THE LOFT in downtown Burlington, Iowa. Dance from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., open to the public, singles welcome and we encourage you to become members for 2020-2021. Cover charge is $12.50 per person for non-members, masks required.

New London VFW hosts a catfish and chicken dinner from 5 to 7:30 pm.  Catfish is $9.50, chicken is $8, all white chicken is $9.  Dinner includes a roll and choice of 2 of: french fries, baked beans and coleslaw.
