Father’s Day!

This week’s concert of the Burlington Municipal Band will be conducted by Burlington High School band director Derrick Murphy.  Motion picture and Broadway musical selections will dominate the Sunday June 16 performance at the Crapo Park bandshell.  Rose Bishop, principal flutist of the Southeast Iowa Symphony, will solo, playing a movement of the new concerto that she recently premiered with the Southeast Iowa Band.  The 7:30 PM concert is family-friendly and free of charge.  Bring a lawn chair or a blanket or sit on provided benches.  In case of rain the concert will move to the James Madison auditorium at 2132 Madison Avenue.
