The Dover Museum in New London, Iowa, features “Letters to and from Home” at 1:30pm. The presentation is hosted by D. Kenneth Shelledy: WWII Memories of the Pacific. This event is free and open to the public.
The Green Mound Church in Trenton, Iowa, is hosting an Ice Cream & Hymn Sing starting at 6:00pm. Homemade ice cream with a variety of toppings and other goodies, plus great music will be available!
Jeremy Henman will conduct the 8th summer concert of the Burlington Municipal Band. The “theme” for this concert will be “great music”! The free, family-friendly concert will be at the Crapo Park bandshell at 7:30 PM. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket or sit on provided benches. In case of rain, the concert will move to the James Madison auditorium at 2132 Madison Avenue. Jeremy Henman will be the new West Burlington High School band director in the fall.
