The Des Moines County Fair, at SCC in West Burlington begins today with the Horse Show!  The Fair runs through July 28th:

• 2PM… Beginner Horse Program
• Followed by 4H/FFA Horse Show
• 7PM…Pre 4H (1st-3rd Grade) Fair Ground Tour
• Meet in the Blue & White Stripped Tent on the Northeast Corner of the Fair Grounds

The Dover Museum in New London is open from 1pm – 4pm! Featured today is Henry Clay Seymour, the great great grandfather of Tiffany Hauptman and a Civil War Ancestor.  Henry, a native of Danville, kept diaries describing events during the war and his own words are the basis of this presentation at 1:30pm.  The Dover Museum is located at 213 W. Main St., parking is free and handicapped accessible.

The Burlington Municipal Band is made up of talented community musicians, and they will be in concert at 7:30pm at the Crapo Park Band Shell in Burlington!  Bring your lawn chair and enjoy and enjoy an evening of music!  The Burlington Municipal Band presents concerts at the Crapo Park band shell each Sunday evening at 7:30 P.M. during the summer months.
