Celebrate 142 years of Salem Old Settlers! Salem’s “Alive in 2025” wraps up today with a Sunday Church Service in the Park at 10am.  Immediately following the service, join a Community Pot Luck!

“Back to School Day” is the theme of the West Point Farmers Market in the park from 9am – 1pm.  Join in the School Supply Drive and fresh farmer’s market goodies!  Here are a few activities to enjoy:

The Walmart Warehouse at 1501 E. Mapleleaf Drive in Mt. Pleasant is having a yard sale from 7am – 2pm.  The sale is open to the public and all proceeds will go to the Children’s Miracle Network. and benefit the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

The Dover Museum in New London features the “History of Lake Geode” with Dave Smith.  The presentation will begin at 1:30pm and is free of charge.  The Dover Museum is open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1pm – 4pm.

Join the Danville Methodist Church at 201 S. Main Street, for a Back-to-School Prayer Service starting at 5pm.  The community is invited to come together for music, a devotional, and prayer for all involved with schools.

New London Lions Red Barn Breakfast Fundraiser:  from 7 to 11 AM, swing by the Mt. Pleasant Masonic Lodge at 206 North Main Street and fuel up with a hearty breakfast for a great cause.
