The West Point Farmers Market in the Park is open from 9am – 1pm with today’s theme: Family Picnic Day Potluck!  In the Kiddie Korner, you will find the Lee County ISU Extension Office and Hair Tinsel with Zoey.  Grab a treat from Blondie’s Sip and Bistro and much more!

The Winfield Historical Society and Museum presents Winfield History Cemetery Walk from 1:30pm – 3:30pm!  (Rain or shine, unless the weather is severe.) Meet at the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery on 130th Street in Winfield at 1:30pm.  Tour rides are available for those who need one.

Chapter CK Tri-T is holding a fundraiser to send girls to camp at the Charlston Board of Trade in Donnellson, Iowa from 4pm – 7pm!  It’s an All You Can Eat meal of chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, veggie, basked beans, & salad bar.  Tickets are $15/adults, $10/kids aged 12 and younger.  To-go dinners are available!

Player’s Workshop, 1431 Grove St. in Burlington, opens the theatrical season with the musical farce “Something Rotten”! Performance is at 2pm.  “Something Rotten” has a PG-13 rating, and the biggest celebrity in England is a playwright named William Shakespeare! The performance continues next weekend through October 3rd-5th.

St. James the Less Catholic Church in St. Paul, Iowa is accepting donations from 8am – 12pm for the God’s Acre Sale on October 5th!  Please drop off your donations at St. James Parish Center.

St. Peter’s UCC of Franklin, Iowa will be holding their Stewardship Sunday Event from 4pm – 6pm  A meal will be served from 4p-6p featuring beef burgers, hot chicken sandwiches and desserts.  A drawing will be held at 6pm with first prize – a quilt, and 2nd prize a grill with 3rd prize $100 in cash! Bring the family and friends and enjoy good food and fellowship!
